I have had some success installing Ubuntu on an old white macbook and, now that I have a taste for it, I want to see if I can do the same on an early 2006 white iMac.
The twist is that the iMac has a failed GPU and only functions reliably now when I remove all the ATI drivers and effectively force the CPU to do the graphics processing.
So I want to install Ubuntu WITHOUT graphics drivers.
I can't find any way to do this - most help threads are about installing with the correct graphics drivers - but I want the opposite :-)
Can anyone here point me in the right direction please?
