Has anyone got any experience of using triple monitors with the Macbook retina 15? In particular, it would be useful to know:
I'm currently using a Macbook retina 13 with triple monitors (DP+DP+HDMI ports) and it works very well with the open source Intel drivers, so I'm hesitant to upgrade to a system that potentially can't do the same. The only relevant information I could find so far was a claim that Macbooks with an Nvidia GPU have the external DP and HDMI ports hardwired to the Nvidia GPU, so any external monitor support on those systems requires Nvidia drivers. I'm leaning towards getting an Intel Iris system, since that seems the most likely to work, but any confirmation either way would be appreciated.
- Does triple monitor work with Intel Iris / Nvidia 650m / Nvidia 750m?
- If you use Nvidia, does triple monitor work with the Nouveau or Nvidia driver?
