ive heard a lot, and i mean a lot, about linux operating system so i decided to give it a try. i have a older MacPro, 2007, and have VMware Fushion on it with Windows7 home premeium. i thught i could download and install Ububtu on my OSX ststem but no luck for me so i installed it on a virtual machine of VMware Fushion, works great. id like to run it by itself on a partitioned hard drive with out using VMware but cant figure that out. i downloaded the latest Ubuntu from Ubuntu website but couldnt get it to work, all i ended up with after install was a black screen and a lot of letters, numbers and symples on it. tried for days to figure out how to install it on mac without a virtual machine. anyway the system seems to work great, fast and easy to use.
