Using Macbook 3.1 dedicated to Xubuntu 14.04 and it works well. With ethernet cable connection, downloaded and installed the proper broadcomm wi-fi driver for linux, and the wi-fi also worked without a hitch after disconnecting the ethernet.
Then, because of a very large file download, switched back to ethernet and used it for a week. Now disconnected the ethernet again, to return to wi-fi for mobility, but I have no clue how to activate it.
The taskbar icon indicates network to be activated, and the ethernet is disabled (unplugged), but there is nothing mentioned about wi-fi.
The broadcomm driver is still installed.
"rfkill" reports that nothing is blocked and I have full access, but I still don't know how to activate it.
Please help.
