To explain I've been playing around with Linux/ubuntu for some time I recently decided to dump the Apple Os on this Imac and Windows on my laptop. I have put the 32 bit version of ubuntu on the Imac because although this computer has a 64bit CPU it only has 32bit EFI so I think it can only boot 32 bit Ubuntu. I do have some paid for you tube content which I believe due to this being a 32 bit machine won't play are there any browsers that will play this content on this machine. It's not the end of the world if there aren't any because my Laptop has 64 bit linux lite that does play the content it's just that even after nearly 10 years this Imac is still by far my preferred computer. That said if I can't get the content to play on here you tube might be minus a paying customer as I'm not paying to watch Tv shows while studying a laptop screen. PS this is my first post here I look forward to following discussions about apple and Linux topics and even in a few years time when I'll likely buy a brand new Imac I think it's going to have ubuntu on it within a day as I find ubuntu better for everyday use than OSX ever was and for me anyway it bots and runs nearly as brilliantly as OSX tiger did all those years ago. Oh and I'll admit it the I love the old TV show the waltons and yes that's the paid for content I'm on about.
