Hello all,
I have been trying on and off to install Ubuntu for my Mac desktop (2.7 GHz Intel i5 8 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 OSX 10.9.5). Im attempting to use my old 1 TB USB 2.0 external hard drive that is partitioned. I have burned multiple iso. files (downloaded multiple times for both 14.04.4 and 14.04.3) to DVD R+ disks, but my disk drive has not been able to read them (disk utility has verified them each time and there is clearly a file written on them). It has been frustrating to not be able to get past the most basic step and any advice would be appreciated. Cheers ...
