About five years ago, my iBook G4 was showing its age and I didn't have the cash to do any upgrades or get a new computer. So, at a friend's suggestion, I installed the PPC version of Ubuntu (I think it was 10.4) and got another year of use out of the old laptop before I was able to buy a newer one. The iBook has sat in a closet ever since.
Fast forward to the present, I am running multiple machines, multiple operating systems, and not poor :). Getting nostalgic for my old iBook, and watching videos from The8BitGuy on youtube (check it out, he has some great videos), I got to wondering, what would I need to do to put one of the older OSX versions back on the G4? Is it even possible? When I installed Ubuntu, I completely lost my OSX Tiger system, there is no dual boot.
I know this is a long shot, and the PPC forum that used to run here is archived (dead), but can anyone think of a way to help?
Thanks,
Spaceman
