So, here goes. I have a mid 2007 MacBook 2,1. I decided I wanted to upgrade the memory and hard drive to try and get a little more life out of this laptop. I made an iso of ubuntu and made a bootable USB of it. (I used FAT32). However, when I try to boot the laptop from the USB by holding down the option key to bring my to the startup manager screen, I get nothing at all. Tried different USB slots, etc. Reburning the iso on the USB didn't have any effect either. Any suggestions?
