I've now tested this with 4 different distros and observed the exact same behavior. If I boot a live disk via USB on my 2012 iMac, my Apple keyboard and mouse remain paired with the iMac without so much as needing to reconnect. they just work.
however, after installing any version of Linux to bare metal, once I boot into the new OS, I lose my mouse and keyboard. Not only that, but I end up having to re-pair them to my computer when I boot back into macOS.
I've tested this with Kubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 16.04, RHEL 7 (Workstation) and CentOS 7.
Is there are fix for this?
