As I try to troubleshoot the sleep issues I'm having with Xubuntu on my MacBook Pro I have been told (on other forums) that Xubuntu doesn't offer official support for MacBook Pros. Someone else has told me that 2 GB of SSDRAM are not enough to run Xubuntu without bugs, though the official system requirement seems to be 512 MB. When I asked here earlier I got the impression that I should be able to run any lightweight Linux distro on my MacBook Pro 1,2 with a 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo processor and 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Looking at Mint pages, I saw that they said the 32-bit ISO booted only with BIOS--and I think Macs boot with EFI not BIOS?
Are there any distros which do support machines like mine? Do any of you run Linux of any kind on a 32-bit Macbook Pro?
