Hi All,
I got Lubuntu 18.04 installed yesterday on my '06 iMac and all went well after I got the Broadcom wifi sorted. I'd like to get the machine booting with Num Lock on as when I go to login, I need to enable Num Lock as my password contains numbers. On the iMac KB the "clear" key that sits right above "7" on the 10-key is what toggles Num Lock on/off.
I have numlockx installed and it will toggle Num Lock in terminal with numlockx on/numlockx off. I think what I need is a way in 18.04 to get numlockx on prior to login. I tried everything in this post to get Num Lock enabled but no joy. I have also configured /etc/default/numlockx to be "on" via Vi and that too did not work. I saw the bit about editing numlockx in this post where it also seems that enabling numlockx may be a feature of Xbuntu.
This may not be a Mac-specific hardware issue however I thought I'd start here. Mods please move this is there is a better location for this post.
Any insight as to the fix in Lubuntu would be appreciated!
