Retaining window size in Libreoffice Base in ubuntu and kubuntu

I can resize windows in Libreoffice Base in Kubuntu and when I open them later, they open to that size. In ubuntu I resize and when opening again, they appear to open the same then snap to full screen size. I have tried installing 6.1 and it does the same.
