After attempt to fix WiFi, Ubuntu 18.04 does not boot

I attempted fixing my WiFi, which was not connecting to my home router using the instructions in this YouTube video:
https://youtu.be/-qnCG3IOOvE

I followed instructions and after the reboot my Ubuntu 18.04 OS does not boot. It gets stuck on the Ubuntu logo for a while and then continues on to a set of line by line descriptions of statuses, such as
“[ OK ] Reached target sockets.”
I’ve tried booting in recovery mode, also unsuccessfully.
I am running a dual boot with an rEFInd boot manager. I cannot enter the Linux environment nor the Mac environment at this point. Would very much appreciate help to troubleshoot this.
