[ubuntu] Ubuntu on MacPro 1.1

Hello there,
I'm new to Ubuntu.
I would like to install Ubuntu Desktop on my old Macpro 1.1, Dual Core inet Xeon 3GHz, with the use of BootCamp.
Is it possible?
Which Version of Ubuntu?

that Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr)is suitable for MacPro 3.1. Does that mean thete is no available version for macpro 1.1?

that gives advise for ubuntu server. Should I do the same to install ubuntu desktop as well?
