Is a 2009 “Nehalem” 2 x 2.26GHZ Xeon a good Ubuntu machine?

I know it’s over a decade old, but it still runs macos just fine. However, I’m at the terminal OS for this machine, and am looking to Ubuntu to help keep this machine working.
