I have this idea that this 2007 mac mini (1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) could be saved from the recycle bin and live a productive life as a Linux tutorial for me.
I dug out a USB DVD burner and have been burning a few different .iso files I've downloaded from ubuntu.com. The mac mini has a built in drive that reads DVDs and will recognize the DVD as a bootable disk in the Option startup disk screen, but when it starts it goes black and says:
1.
2.
Select CD-ROM Boot Type:_
Keys on the keyboard don't seem to do anything.
If you feel the need to address me, "Hey, moron," that's fine as long as you follow with some encouragement or insight.
