I am going to gabble on here a bit, but the bottom line is, is there anyone in Perth who can help me (i.e. show me and do it with me), install ubuntu onto my Macbook Air?
I am using a late 2010 Air, and it is just fine still, but I would like to try out U, and maybe make the switch, for various reasons. The Air hardware is good. The comp is fast, light, and robust, and I don't see a Dell or anything else of comparable quality. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
I am knowledgeable from an end user perspective and can fiddle a bit, but the complexities of installing U on an Air (without a drive) seem daunting. I plan also to install a 480gb ssd upgrade from Other World Computing. This will give me lots of space.
