I have been running Xubuntu 22.04 on my MacBook Pro. I set it to go to sleep when lid is closed and wake up when the lid is open. It works all the time.
Now I installed Kubuntu 23.04, it works only when the power is plugged in. But if the power is unplugged at any time during the sleep, after the lid is open, the system is not resuming. There are two situations: with the Plasma Xorg desktop, the screen is black with a pointer not moving; with Plasma Wayland, the fullscreen is displayed, but only as a still image, nothing move.
I tested this with live boot from a USB stick with either Kubuntu 23.04 or Xubuntu 23.04, and the situation is the same: when unplugged, the system doesn't resume.
I also tested with USB stick of Xubuntu 22.04, and it works as expected.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
