Eeverytime I tried to install lubuntu 12.10 on my g5 dual 2ghz ppc is the same...first with the alternate it will just boot to several errors and stall on black (to solve I have to bott from leopard disk and erase the ubunted hd) second using the live deskto cd, never got to the menu, instead is the black screen for the terminal and any attempt to read drivers from nvidia fails , even startx which leads to fatal error: no screen found.
So at this time I have not installed any of this dubious lubuntu 12.10 presentations...it is something wrong with me only or is my equipment?
here is the specs of my graphic cards as they are on my device profiles on leopard g5:
Chipset Model: GeForce 6600
Type: Display
Bus: PCIe
Slot: SLOT-1
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 256 MB
Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)
Device ID: 0x0141
Revision ID: 0x00a4
ROM Revision: 2149
Displays:
Cinema:

Depth: 32-Bit Color
Core Image: Hardware Accelerated
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Quartz Extreme: Supported

If anyone could please send me to a usable tutorial or response I will be very happy to know about it.
So far the only thing installing good is lubuntu 12.04 but still no video card, and having slow problems.
NEED HELP!!!!
