I'm probably failing hard when it comes to forums searching but I could not find anything that directly dealt with my issue.
I'm running 12.04 LTS on a 2008 Macbook Pro (core2duo, old case model) with a Kubuntu install that was turned into Ubuntu through adding ubuntu-desktop and removing KDE, then after I added Gnome-shell. Under the latest KDE, gnome-shell, unity and lxde I am having an issue where all built-in input methods hang for a few seconds before working again. This issue occurs once every couple of minutes. I have not tested external mice/keyboard as I wont be using them on this machine. I have un-ticket the option to disable trackpad while typing but the issue does not appear to be linked. Any input/advice/solutions are welcomed! Thanks, Brent.
