[ubuntu] Initial boot goes to the "question folder"

Hello, this is my first time entering the ubuntu world and my first post on this forum. I just installed ubuntu 12.10 on a Macbook 1,1 as a single OS. However, every time I start the laptop it goes to the "question folder" if I don't hold down alt and select windows. I am confused why it still does this even though there is no other OS on this laptop but ubuntu. Is there a way to change the initial boot sequence to automatically start by booting ubuntu?
