Well, my 11 year old iMac finally died after a lighting strike took out the computer through the firewire cable. Bumbed me out big time, I loved that old iMac. Ended up getting an HP laptop with Windows 8, kept it for a week before it picked up a Trojan horse off of Facebook and screwed up the Op System. That reminded me of why I went with Mac back in 2002 in the first place.
So, with the funds I got back from the HP laptop I picked up a couple older laptops and installed Ubuntu 12.04.2 on em' and I've not looked back. The OS is as intutive as as Mac OS and as virus proof too. For anyone using a Mac that's looking for a less expensive alternative going with a Linux based OS is THE answer you're looking for. Anyway, just wanted to share.
