I'm 2 weeks in with my new MBA 6,2 running the latest beta of 14.04 (Mac-less) 64bit. I installed this version because a lot of the documentation I read specifically said not to install the +Mac. I love so much about this machine, but I do have a bit of a wifi issue when it is booted into Ubuntu. It seems to vary from a good signal strength to weak or no signal for no apparent reason, but no problem when running Mac O/S. We live in a relatively small flat (21ftx33ft), and the modem is pretty close to the centre it. We have 2 other laptops runnning Ubuntu (4.5 y/oToshiba nb200 and 5.5 y/o HP Pavillion) that have no issues with signal strenght at all. Combined with the wifi working fine in Mac O/S, I'm certain the problem isn't with the modem. Strangely, when the signal is misbehaving on my Mac, I generally just need to lift it up a couple of feet and bang - signal is back and happy. Any idea what the issue could be and how to deal with it?
