HELP cannot get WiFi [b43-fwcutter] to work on my Powerbook G4

Hello

I'm running Lubuntu 14.04 [from a live DVD and with a dead ethernet port]

I have done the following for my BCM4306 (rev 03)

sudo dpkg -i b43-fwcutter*

sudo modprobe -r b43 bcma
sudo modprobe -r brcmsmac bcma
sudo modprobe -r wl


sudo modprobe b43

Note I used b43-fwcutter_018-2_powerpc.deb and also tried b43-fwcutter_015-9_powerpc.deb when the former didn't work

Yet when I run nm-tool or iwconfig i see now wlan ?

What else can I try to diagnose or get working ?
