I have ubuntu on an external drive and the drive itself has two partitions: The system partition where all the OS files and folders are, and a swap partition. I did not create boot, home, etc. partitions. I used to be able to just boot it from my MAC computer with no problem. I also have a "PC" that I boot Ubuntu on sometimes as well. It still works fine on the "PC" but I am unable to see the external drive on the "MAC". I've already tried to press Option-Shift-Command-Period but that does not work. As previously stated, it used to work fine on the MAC before and I did not make any change to any file. The PC is somewhat old and uses BIOS and the MAC is from 2012. I found this suggestion: https://askubuntu.com/questions/6506...acbookpro-2015. I was going to do what is recommended but I do not have an EFI folder under the root directory. Any suggestions? I am running Ubuntu 14.04.
